No No No LSU, you've got me confused with people that can actually fish. Drop by the MS board sometime and inquire about me.....they'll explain it to you. LOL.

Here in MI anything over 12" is a slab. I envy you guys down in Dixie where fish grow so much bigger than up here.

    Default Ohio Slab IMHO

I would say 13" for slab status here in NW Ohio where I am from. I actually caught my personal best Ohio white crappie last saturday. It was just under 15" and I swear it was twice as heavy as my next biggest which was 11". It was almost twice as tall and thick also. It is amazing to me the jump in overall size from a 11" to a 15" fish.

    Default My requirements.

A slab would be considered any fish around the 1.5 lbs. and heavier. My wall hanger(which I'm still waiting on by the way) will be anything larger that 3lbs. That may be a little psychological, but when you witness a 3lber caught by your buddy in the same boat, it wreaks havoc on your mental capacity. I know everyone measures there fish, but I look at the weight of the fish to be determined as a "good meal" or a "slab". Everyone has different standards I guess. All in all, they all taste good from the pan. Rollcaster..................

It simply depends on where you are fishing. IMO
