I've even heard of WD-40 liberally applied does the trick.

I just keep it simple.

WD-40 is a petroleum based solvent ... not exactly what we want to be putting into our fishing waters !!

I'm just sayin' ...

I agree........don't use WD-40 ever as a fish attractant.
