I've got the Cabela's AGM's, but not long enough to give a fair comment.

I have two of them in my boat for my 24v troller and I can run days on them. They are pricey (unless you work for JCI) I'll admit that.

    You want the blue top.
How much are the Optima batteries? I run a 24 volt system.

    Thanks!

If you use the trolling motor a lot and fish a lot, spend the money and get the D34M blue top optima. You'll save money in the long run. If you don't fish too much or troll too much, go with wally world. We had interstate, wally, etc.etc.etc. and none of them lasted us over 4 months. Keep in mind in we fished 50-60 times all day, constantly running trolling motor, 24 volt on board charging system.
Since we got the optimas, they have lasted us 28 fishing months. They will last us about 5-6 hours now, and we are getting ready to replace them.

I had to replace my troll batt in Nov last year. Recently crank batt acted stupid. I bought another wally large size deep cycle and 2 - 4' battery leads with terminal lugs on both ends. I connected both in parallel. I have a 25hp outboard and 40lb troll mtr plus depth finder. Tons of power for my rig, recharge on an auto shut off charger as soon as I get home. Works well for me.

I just put two D34M optimas in parallel for my 12V MK Terrova 54#. I have it on an F&F 1654 and I can troll all day long in hard wind and the MK battery indicator will still read 3 bars out of 4. I had an Interstate and it would be all the way down to 1 bar on the same amount of use.

I have a Stowaway 27 Series from Academy that I use for a cranking battery. Not too keen on it, it discharged while sitting in the basement with nothing running except the amount of power a Lowrance 26cHD fishfinder draws. I fully recharged it, so will see how it goes. I have two Blue Top Optimas for trolling. They are well worth the money. I paid $155 each at Sam's. Total with tax $341.00. I may also buy an Optima for a cranking battery. Does anyone have a suggestion which Optima to buy for cranking in a boat?
