There are advertising links everywhere now. Even on the index page.
Yep, it did the same thing to my office computer here. I know they have to make there money one way or the other but this is not a good situation. I'm sure they will take another look at it. At least I really hope so.

yes it will affect those on dial-up because it will first select keywords off of each page as it's being loaded into cache before getting displayed (this equates into a bit slower response) and then it goes off and makes a snapshot of the link-to page (again another slow down) and then adds the links to each page as it's being displayed (again another slow down) and then you risk being whisked away to some site without you even clicking anything!!

for those logging in from work sites you are actively trigging loads of sniffers on your IT network admins monitoring system which could have ill effects for you at work... although you're not actively going to these various sites, ad-brite is loading them up in your cache and those sniffers are going to trigger is if you actively went to those sites!!

again, the addition of Ad-Brite is going to be more of a headache than a helpful hand.... just laying it out on the line based on my previous experience with it...

I say let Ed make some money with it. It's not too hard to ignore.

I also got a garish popup ad this morning advertising some lotto/casino/gambling deal.
Again, very annoying, and will more than likely cut down my participation.
It's extremely distracting trying to read with random green double underlined words.
I agree - please make it go away. If it doesn't go away, I am afraid the members will.

If it is needed to keep the forum running and up then I can deal with it. If it is just to make a bigger profit, I imagine there are a couple hundred other sites for panfish out there.

I donated back from the only sale I have made on here so I didn't have to see ads. And I will keep doing so if it means they will go away sooner or later.

I would much rather pay a fee. How much did the new service cost anyway? I still liked it better without all the junk even though it went down once in a while. JMO!

Horrible. I couldn't figure out what you
were talking about until I tried using IE. Firefox blocks it, but it's worse than a virus. I tried for 4 minutes on IE and then got a banner saying "Crappie.com is brought to you today by Online Casino". You'll never get a second visit from a new user with that.

I am working on it fellers. I have a call into the man at his work. I doubt he knows about this, but if he didn't, now he does. Sheet like this happens and they will be taken care of in a little bit, I HOPE. In the meantime, the spawn is about to happen here in Tennessee. FATBOY
