I Hate Bass Fishing Contests

I agree that there are jerks in every aspect of life but on the water the only ones I've ever had a problem with is bass fishermen. I fish mostly from the bank for catfish. On many occasions I've had bass fishermen come by casting at the shore get tangled in my line and cut it. that's when I put on a 5 once bank sinker and start throwing at there boat. You bounce that off there $30,000 boat a few times they get the point and move on. On another point brought up in this thread shooting in the direction of another person (even if aiming at there motor) could and should be seen as attempted murder not just assault. I carry almost all the time and if someone starts shooting at me I'm shooting back and even in a boat I'm a pretty good shot.

Being legal to fish the dock with the woman on it should never be the question or come to play in any way. It is all about common sense. Common sense seems to be on the endangered list though

Well Im gonna sound like an a** too but I will gladly spend a few days in jail. If a man hits my wife with a bait Im gonna whip that a**. I dont give a hoot whos in the wrong. Thats uncalled for,to hit a woman with a bait ,huh, probably the type of guy that hits his own wife. Heck guys now that one fired me up! I need to go cool off now.

A lot of those Bass fishermen hate it too! $50,000 rig and don't catch many fish. It can be heart breaking.

If the information was given in the tourney meeting about simple boating manners when passing someone engaged in fishing then it wouldn't be the fault of anyone but the bass fisherman.

here in NC if you sponsor a tournament with over 15 (i think) or more boats you have to get a permit from the Wildlife people to use the ramp, so all these little wannabe bass clubs with less than 15 members (which is most of them) have there own tournament but pool together with other small clubs to get around this law.......they'll be so many boats the ramps cannot handle it, they hog all the ramps, are rude, they block you in and pretty much think they own the dang lake. I'll be darned if i'm gonna sit for an hour to launch, they need to designate one ramp for them and let joe fisherman have the rest. And the funny thing is this is worst during the spawning season because after that most of them dont know how to catch a dang fish..............got no use for em, especially the ones who think they oughta have their own TV show or something. When I was in the military I fished in some military tournys but as you can imagine it was done right and the regular guy was treated with respect

Ahhhhh, no .... that would probably only land YOU in jail, for Assault & Battery. (assault if you miss, battery if you hit them)
