Bass fishermen are no where near as bad as the local drivers here... seems most will run you over here just to get to the next stop light before you. Sad really.
It's not just bass fisherman but people in general. Some are rude and stupid no matter what they are doing.

Fishin' fills the time until College football season
I think there are rude people in all walks of life.... but I think competitive fishing ESPECIALLY bass fishing brings the lion's share. Why? To be a "big boy" you've got to have a 25-40K rig, and have 15 different $500 combo's with $2000 worth of baits. Simply put, it draws some rich dudes, and people that have things have a temptation to look down on those who don't have the same things.
They also have developed some of the snobbiness that fly fisherman have when it comes to their C&R religion. You wanna keep a big fish or a small fish?? I may not like it, or do it, but you've got the right since YOU CAUGHT IT!
So, its kinda like the rich guys playing polo and running over the poor tramps that are on their playground. Just my .02 and I love to fish for all fish, but there's no question that I've spent way more money on a bunch of bass stuff than anything else combined. I've started to stockpile my crappie selection, and I've spent no more than $50 and have quite a great assortment. That'll get you ... what? 3 lucky crafts?

I don't see the need to interject race into the discussion- pretty sad tact that is being taken, in my opinion.
And it is not necessarily legal to keep short fish just because you caught it. There are length limits on most lakes that I fish- and keeping small sublegal fish is poaching nonetheless.
The philosopy of tournament fishin' and me just don't gee-haw, folks.
The reason I fish is for the pure enjoyment of fishin and bein' out there in God's beautiful creation. The very idea of fishin' for money makes me want to throw up. My Daddy taught me to love fishin'...and I do. God tests my patience with these tournament fishin' morons and their mindsets. Perhaps they should build their own lakes and have their own private circuit and stay off public waters. Life is too short to have to put up with the crude and rude attitudes of the tournament "pros."
Gimme a break.

Nothing that a big crosstie showing up in the main channel want fix. On the dock issue I had a friend who's wife was fishing (their) dock last year when some bass fisherman ( after asking them not to throw around their dock while she was fishing) casted toward their dock and hit here with a shad rap. He was up at the house and promptly got his 22rifle and shot through their big bass boat motor. They got out but he got in a little trouble. The word is out they don't come round no more.

How stupid can he have been to shoot at someone over a fish. Good thing the guy was not carrying becuase he would of had every right to drop you buddy dead. Yes the guy could of had some respect not fishing the dock. But the dock is on public water so fishing around it is legal.

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night will keep me from crappie fishing!

I have seen good ones and bad ones in tournaments. I also know which ramps they use for the tourneys. Around 2 o'clock, If I am close to the ramp fishing, I just pull up and go somewhere else because of the wakes that are stirred to a level a 20 mph wind could not generate. Yeah, they blow by sometimes close and that makes me mad but what really chaps My hind parts is the wake boarders that continually circle. case and point. I have some brushpiles just up from the mouth of a creek I fish. the creek opens up to a bay. the creek is 100 to 150 yards wide. it is only 300 yards to the mouth of the creek to the bay. the bay is 1/2 mile across and opens to 1 mile across. guess where the wake boarders and skiers are? You guessed it. Right in that tight creek where I am trying to fish. They have all that room out in the bay but have to be right on top of everyone. I guess they think they are showing off. Makes me mad as He77.CF

Please. Why I'm even dignifying this with a response I don't know...
1. I am white. I said there are a bunch of rich white dudes in bass fishing. So I sound like a racist?? Just to be fair, I pulled out my BassMaster Pro Guide Edition and I checked over every one of their listed 102 pros. Guess what?? All of them are ... WHITE! (gasps!) I must be a racist. I don't know why Ish Monroe wasn't listed in the magazing, but he wasn't.
2. There are a lot of rich white guys! And a lot of them own fancy bass boats and blow by people!
Your comment makes as much sense as me calling you a racist, nonsense.
