    Had the same idea here in northern Ohio yesterday. Hoosier and buckeye crappie sure look alike.

    All I can say, if you're casting you're not catching. Dipping and popping a bobber around docks and laydowns have been the key. Ice fishing jigs and 1/32 leads with tubes are the trick right now. I caught one this afternoon in 2.5' of water. Fooled me. The majority of the fish I am finding are 6-10'.
    Caught so many fish today my thumb is sore from clicking the counter.
