I built a box similar to the Gotcha Gear rig. Personally if you go that route its cheaper to order one from them. I had most of the material. But after buying half the stuff you will spend as much as what they will biuld costs. It was about the only option in my boat because of the configuration of the storage compartments. I would have much rather put bases in the floor about 33" apart. Two seats up front is good though, if the other guy has one get off they can hear you cuss them easier. I get irritated at my dad when he fishes with me in the back. I have to yell at him cause he's deaf.
Ya ain't holdin' your mouth right.

We all grow old, slow down and get hard of hearing. Love to hear you yell at us because we are still here be patient with us. The sound of our children and grandchildren is a blessing. Things will look and sound different when you look back a few years from now. One of my sons use to get put out with me until my heart attack. We love our children. lol
    Today is a great day

Looking at the pic, I am thinking it would be good to run something (wood or aluminum bar stock) out from each side towards the front. Maybe bolted to each end and have a treaded hole/holes to mount a t-bar.

    Have any ideas?

Here is a link to the one that I built back in Feb. It slides down over the seat pole and does not fasten to the boat.
    Works great.

Lete me know if you need the size of stuff. It took me about 2 hours to build this one.
I can switch it from the 20 boat to the 17 ft boat in 2 minutes. Also can adjust it up and down easy.
