yes make the list. im tired of everyone selling this country to get 10 more hooks in a pack. we are just to greedy. we want the house the truck the boat the cycle, we want it all now and we want it cheap and we dont want to work to hard neither. by the way we elect our goverment and from what i have seen thats based on what they take from someone else and give to us.lazy greed

I would like to see this list. Maybe someone is buying something foreign that doesn't know about a product made here.

USReel is made in China. Check the box. I detest that company. Pretty sure its the same MFG that makes the BPS shallow spools reels. I think its a very deceptive sales tactic. I'm not totally against Chinese reels. We can't avoid them, but I won't touch a USReel. What they do is going to far, plus they aren't very good to boot.. The only US made reel is Ardent.

Grizz has valid points as well, example US Reel, look what theyv'e done in the short time with an American made reel. As far as my end there's a 10% excise tacked on to the price of my rods! We as fisherman pay it on alot of the items we buy. But the foriegn companies are able to dodge most of these costs ie: The big battle waged by Blakemore lures [Roadrunner] they managed to fight off patent infringement and foriegn copycats at an expense, but will tell you it was worth it. Crappie Pro here in Oklahoma also has battled with the copycats, but rose above it with the introduction of a new line of baits. It's tough in the domestic buisiness but with a little savvy and supportive anglers we can..YES WE CAN!!!:D

Let's see the list, I already buy from members of 3 different forums and I know where it is made! Let's see a list of people who make tackle that are members too so we know where to go for what we are looking for.

I support Lakeland Inc because if it is not made in the US they tell you so.

As for American made, when it meets my needs and price range I buy it. If it doesn't I find it from whatever country I can.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

    Default US Reel / Ardent

Grizz; My mistake on US reel, I must have thought the 2 were the same. I sent in my check to Slab to be a host on this site as well as advertisement.
I love this site and everyone being candid on their views. We are having our 1rst. Oklahoma get-together with what looks to be a strong attendance, we have 3 tackle reps coming, with several more donating samples to us, we are also planning our own crappie only tackle show, free to the public. Keep this subject going for the benefit of us all.

No biggy. I did the exact same thing with USReel. I was pretty stoked about them for a while till the founder of Ardent, David Gray told me to go look at a USReel box. It really made me angry.

Interesting thread, but to get back to the initial proposal:

Eagle Claw Hooks Manufactured (not assembled) in Denver, Colorado!

(and you might want to stock up on your bucktails and other wild fur and feathers before they start moving on your guns.)
