    Skip that is some dang good news. I cant wait till he is up and around fishing with his dad again. Tell him I said hello and best of luck.

    Thanks so much guys and you guys know he's been through a lot and it's nice to see the end of the tunnel for the first time in over 2 years. We know at some point he will need reconstruction surgery on his buttocks, but that is later and not something like his leg. He does have a huge amount of work ahead, but that is what he's been waiting on really. Get back after it!

    You know he's had over 30 surgeries , but some were sound care type things, but lots were fixing things and of course his amputation and then the re-do. SO we are very happy today and looking forward and knowing it's over as far as getting ready to get a new leg or two. Actually he's going to have several. One for walking around, one fro running and one for swimming and then of course he wouldn't have it to not get that combat leg too.

    Thank everyone of you good people! And now for one more little tid bit I got today...

    Today he sent me a picture of him self standing on his first new leg that they fitted him for this week. He was still using the rails they walk between and can hold on to get use to it, but it was great seeing him standing again without his crutches.
