When you are driving down the road at 70mph your poles take a beating against your boat. I have a bass boat with carpet and that is not a big problem but I still tie my poles together on both ends so they don't fly all over the place. These are by far the best poles on the market. Good luck.
I also fish tournaments and use my poles weekly I have a fiberglass boat with carpet and do secure them while in am en route to the lake I have not said one negative thing about B&M poles. All i asked here if any one has had any problems with the guides . Jack even said that they had some issues with a certain batch of poles bad glue maybe you didn't get the ones with the bad glue.also you being on the pro staff i am sure that you didn't have to buy yours like I did. And i do believe B&M pole are the best and i am confident the problem will be solved
if you notice the other post there is a issue with the guides on some of the poles.
