Just bought 4 ProStaff rods from Monk. I put the 16 footer through a workout last weekend. Set the hook on a big hybrid and had that rod doubled. Plenty strong with some backbone thats for sure.

My partner and I are prostaffers and we have bout 80 BnM's between us. We are pretty rough on poles while fishing tourny's and we didn't loose an eye or break any tips all last year. One thing you have to remember is if you are transporting poles in an alluminum boat you really need to lay the poles on a softer surface. When you are driving down the road at 70mph your poles take a beating against your boat. I have a bass boat with carpet and that is not a big problem but I still tie my poles together on both ends so they don't fly all over the place. These are by far the best poles on the market. Good luck.

I have 30 or 40 bnm poles and the only problems i have had was caused by my big foot or in transport. I did have one arrive one day that wat broke in the tube but it was because ups slamed a door on the tube but I called bnm and a new one was at my door the next day. Thanks Jack for what ya do for crappie fishing and keep up the good work. you can not go wrong with bnm.

I also fish tournaments and use my poles weekly I have a fiberglass boat with carpet and do secure them while in am en route to the lake I have not said one negative thing about B&M poles. All i asked here if any one has had any problems with the guides . Jack even said that they had some issues with a certain batch of poles bad glue maybe you didn't get the ones with the bad glue.also you being on the pro staff i am sure that you didn't have to buy yours like I did. And i do believe B&M pole are the best and i am confident the problem will be solved

if you notice the other post there is a issue with the guides on some of the poles.

I bought all of my poles with my own money before I got on their prostaff. I was just saying that I know other people that have had that same problem and the eyes were weakened by the ceramic being bounced around against the boat. This was just a tip that may help others prevent this from happening.

You don't owe me an apology. I have been into fishing tournys for years and have been trolling for about 30 years and if you can break it I have done it. If you can fish with it I have probably had it at some point in time. I like giving advice on here because people ask questions about experiences that I have had. I don't want to come across like a know it all but I have fished all over the country and have seen alot while doing it. I like to ask questions also because this is the way I learn more.
