I've had some exposure to the E-Tecs and they are great motors.. and if I ever wear out this Suzuki 115 4 stroker that I'm in love with ,, I might buy one.

I have had 2 stroke motors in the past and liked them...until I got a 4 stroke. Love the convenience, efficiency, and quietness of the 4 stroke motor. Cranks first time every time. I have a Mercury 60 HP 4 stroke and have run it hard for 3 years without any problems.

I notice several references to the Honda brand. I have a Honda that I purchased new in May 2003 and it has been trouble free so far.
It's a fun boat though I mean no guiding or other hard daily work out.
However, I have a neighbor friend who works for a Honda dealer who stated to me "as much as I like these Honda's I would not buy a carbureted model".
Just some more FYI for you.

Picked up my etech last spring and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. Would not hesitate in doing it again cept I don't want to go through the agony of deciding which brand to get. Just be sure the motor will have an adequate warranty....have a 5 year warranty with the etech.
Sacred Heart of Mary, pray for us now, and at the hour of our death. AMEN
