What you love about fishing

I guess I like almost everything about fishing. It's great just being on the water---hot/cold, wind/calm, fish/no fish, idiots/sane people, etc. I always seem to be able to find something positive about each trip. Just being away from work is positive enough.

I guess the solitude, being immersed in nature and putting food on the table rank right up there. My wife thinks I'm crazy but I really enjoy fishing by myself. Nothing against anybody and I have several friends that I always have a good time with, but I just like going by myself.

wish I could say that, I'll drive 140 miles round trip to fish with a buddy instead of driving 70 miles round trip to fish alone, but that's just me.

A little bit of what everybody said peaceful out on the water like going with with my buddies and my wife when she goes.The most enjoyable and quiet time just me and my dog she loves to go fishing in the boat.

Only sport/hobby I know where you can tell a lie and everybody believes you and turn around and tell the truth and everybody believes you are lying.

You can believe me. I don't pee around. I like the folks on c.com. It's a good place to "fishin".

I love the fact that when I am out fishing no one is telling me what to nor how to do it. It is where I get to be my own judge and jury and make decisions based on experience and not someone else's idea of what I should be doing. I can catch a fish, clean it, eat it and catch another one or I can take them home for a fish fry or I can simply let them go to grow up or for someone else to enjoy. So many choices and knowing when I see that line move and feel that fish hit that it was my choices, not someone else's, that made the difference.

Enjoying the day and having two F-16's bust across the lake at low level. If I can catch their attention in time they usually will give me a little air show!
