A few bad apples don't spoil the hole bunch, Same with fishermen The majority of fishermen are great people, polite, respectful, and helpful when in need. Then there's those few bad apples, HEY whatcha gonna do. fish ON.......

The older I get, the less competitive I am. I was that way at one time, for sure, but when you reach a certain age it's more about enjoying the day, not who's first, or best. As I look back, I wish I had spent more time enjoying the day instead of striving for the gold.

I remember something my father told me a long time ago. He said when you go in the woods leave as little trail as possible, try not to disturb the peacefulness or the ground you walk on. When you come across something, like a bear or snake or alligator, leave it alone, go around it, let it be. You'll both enjoy the day a lot more.

I wish I had pair more attention to him back then. It would have given me a lot more satisfaction than striving for the wind.

One of the guys on our local crappie website said he was working a point and a houseboat buzzed him within twenty feet of his boat and the occupants were all girls who proceeded to moon him. They then traveled onto a flat in a foot or two of water and got stuck on the flat. He reported that he picked up his floating marker, waved good-by to the girls and headed for another point. I figured they didn't want any help from him as they were too embarrassed to show their faces. hee-hee
