Like I stated, I tries a couple different syringes and injectors, then got the bait pump. No comparison....

I'd pay $30 bucks for another if I lost mine tommorrow....

Like I said... and no i'm not trying to shamelessly bump this guys product... but I have tried many methods and this one is hands down the most effortless system I have seen or used. I was a skeptic before I broke down and bought one (and trust me when I say I don't have a ton of extra money at the end of each month) but I liked it so much I bought an extra one just in case... imo well worth the money.
I've been using it every outing since I bought mine March 07 and it has never given me issues.

**And since the money issue was brought up... the bait pump along with a jar of nibbles and a pack of jig heads and tubes pays for themselves fish after fish long after several dozen shiners have been dumped in the water due to suffocation or nothing biting on them**

If you cant afford a bait pump, i personally understand your view. Use what you can to get done what you need. That is the American way. China's dumping garbage pipe in this country at a price we cant compete with and it's selling so good, my plant is down from 450 to 75 workers. Lot of young americans lost jobs because of it. BUT as MDUNCAN says " thats the American way ". A guy makes a great product here and gets knocked for it. WHY? Because some folks cant afford to pay what it cost him to make it. If it's above your price range, thats alright. Use what you can afford but dont knock a guy for something that works well. If it was garbage , it wouldn't be so popular.

I don;t have a dog in this hunt either, but all I do for a tube is roll the nibble between my fingers into a cigar shape, then stuff fit in the tube, put it on the jighead, and fish. Works for me.

i think it's great somebody has innovated a pump to use, but i also don't see a problem with someone using their experimentation of easy to get/inexpensive products either.

I'd imagine a syringe would work ok if you added some veg oil to the nibbles and then put the mixture into the syringe, but that sounds messy and contrived to me. But if it catches fish, go for it. Maybe the oil would help disburse the scent? For me, I'll stick to rolling the nibble and stuffing the tubes until I find another method that's as easy and effective.

Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We are going with you also." They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing.

And we act like this Nightstalking thing is new.

For some excitment, read the next verse. A special guest arrived, they filled their coolers and had a fish fry on the beach...in the morning. My kind of people.- Bowfin

I too use an animal syringe from TSC. No problems squeezing out nibbles for me, unless they're old and dried out. If you let them dry in the syringe, just hold it underwater for a few seconds, then pull out the plunger completely out and do it again--the old nibbles rinse right out. It takes about a week for nibbles to dry out if they're left in the syringe.

I like it 'cause I can put just a half dozen nibbles in at a time (given how long nibbles last inside a tube, that lasts me for a while), I just need one hand to use it, it easily inserts into a tube already on the jig and fills it, and it works fine in general for me.

Can't say that it works better than a bait pump, just that it works. To each his own.

Here is my crappie nibble dispenser!

It's an oral medication dispenser from Walgreen's.

the best way to inject crappie nibbles is with a larger oral injector 10 ML or larger. (not the 5ML that the pharmacist gives for free when you get liquid meds.) You need to ask you pharmacist for them, they are behind the counter in a sanitized sealed package. Only a few bucks and they work great, get 1 for every nibble color made. I also use oral injectors for trout nuggets. I fill the tubes with the trout formula and work pools in streams. BTW I own the bait pump and find it hard to twist the top to inject the nibbles while holding the tube, plus it would be $$$$$ to get one for every color.

    Default size

I would have though that smaller in diameter would compress them easier???
Are the sizes of the opening the same?
Ok you guys are evil, I just went into the fridge and emptied out one of my 5 year old syringes of whitening gel, lol. It was a little tough to squeeze but has a removable tip. I will keep an eye out for a larger tip and see if i can find my nibbles. I bet i could just mix all the gel with the nibbles :D.

To make the hole bigger take a drill bit the next size up and use you fingers to spin the bit and make the hole bigger. Maybe go 2 sizes up if you can.

I have a few oral injectors that have square screw on caps. Helps keep them fresh.

Wow, talk about kicking a dead horse, it dont matter how many times you kick it, it aint getting back up.... As for the syringe/bait pump thing, to each their own. I have tried both, and I would rather spend $20 on an American made product that I know works. But others feel that would be unAmerican to spend a little more for that, they would rather buy Chinese made products to do what they are after. I have 2 Bait pumps and I use them everytime I go out on the water. Some of you say it is too hard to hold the tube and twist, its not hard at all, first off if the tube isn't on the jighead yet, just slip it down on the bait pump and twist, when it's full it will push it off, second, if its already on the jighead all you have to do is use 1 finger against the tube while holding the pump and twist with the other hand. And someone mentioned it being too expensive to buy one for every color, thing is, they all smell the same and give off the same enzyme things, so color DOES NOT MATTER if you are putting it INSIDE the tube, they caint see it. Only time color would matter is if you were just hooking them on the hook.
I will continue to use the bait pumps as long as tube jigs and crappie nibbles are around. I understand that some people may not be able to afford to spend 20 dollars as part of your fishing tackle,(bet you spent more than that on the rod) that is understandable, do what you can afford. But I know that I make around 30k a year and I am raising 4 kids, 9-12 grades so I know what being broke is, and if I lost one of my bait pumps tomorrow there would be a replacement in the mail the next day.
