New2Crappie, her is an aerial photo of Scottsburg Reservoir, the area just off of the points I mark is fairly shallow 6-8 ft. Once the weed growth evolves, which should be by now, you might have to move off the points toward the center of the lake and fish the 8'-16' depths. Whatever it takes to fish close to,or over the edge of the existing weedline. Even if you move to the deeper area, count down your BS's, like Moose explained starting a foot or two deep. The almost always dingy water, and wave action many times will put the fish close to the surface. If you happen across some brown/chartruese BS's, pick up a few....when the dog days of summer sets in that color seems to work best.
