Same in the Jackson,Ms area. Last night average about 3.59 today at 5 I saw it as high as 5.25 and still as low (if you can call it that) as 3.79. I topped off at the 3.79.

I stopped my grandson from reading these threads over a year ago. Some real characters here on this site. Do as i do, if you dont agree with them, dont bother with them. They'll never see anything any other way than theirs. I'll use the fishing advice and let the rest go.

It's close to $5 here. Like .01 cents close.

It has to be price gouging, as nothing has happened yet and you can't tell me that every gas station in the southeast has gotten a new shipment of gas that cost them more than usual.

Now watch it take another 6 months to start coming down.

$3.39 here is SE Virginia this afternoon but I did notice a lot of cars at the pump, far more than normal.

The six o'clock news showed gas at $5.09 in Jackson, TN late this afternoon. Lines were backed up into roadways and police were directing traffic. I drive a company car and had to stop for gas in Dresden earlier this afternoon. Had to get 93 octane - they were out of 87 and 89.

Out of luck mine are all full and I am shutting my show down for the weekend. I refuse to pay their price. Just as someone else said Hurricanes have been hitting that area for years and years and remember the price may have risen 3 or 4 cents in years past not 3 or 4 dollars. Someone needs to step up and do something.

If you have been gouged, save your reciept. All those guys are gonna get busted, and you won't get a refund without your reciept.

I think the law is either a 5 or 10 percent increase is all that is allowed. But it may vary from state to state.

One local arab owned gas station ,doubled his prices during 9-11, and got busted big time.

So far prices haven't changed much around here. Regular 3.45 diesel 3.79
