Or, you could just order it from Three Rivers and ask them to swap the ducer in the box for the TM ducer at no additional cost. Bargain Prices on Marine Electronics!

You might find it for a few bucks cheaper, but you won't get better service or more knowledgeable folks anywhere.

I agree on upgrading to the 480 BTW. No much more but a lot better picture.

You sure you need to pull wire? You could tap into practically anything in the bow that already has power. Running light recepticle comes to mind.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

I have a 320 new this spring. It does everything I need it to. I got a tm bracket from bps for around 15 bucks. works great. But if my wallet was a little fatter, I would love to have one with gps

Wannabe, I wondered about something like that, has trolling motor receptacle, trim switches and aerator recirculate on the bow panel, but doesn't any empty spaces. I'm sure there is probably away to do it though.

I agree that the Eagle 320 and the 489 are the best bang for the buck. I've got the 480.
The suggestion that you order it from 3 Rivers and get the "puck" style mount for the trolling motor is a good one. The puck won't get pushed up every time you run it into the bottom. Looks cleaner and comes with a shorter transducer cable too. If you opt for the puck style, make sure your trolling motor shaft is vertical (or close to it) because you cannot adjust the angle like you can with the "skimmer".

Lowrance (who makes Eagle) has a great article on interpreting sonar images. Someone posted the link on one of the CDC forums a couple of days ago. I'll try to find it and post the link... if someone doesn't beat me too it.

    Here's the link
    http://webpages.charter.net/abshire5...20tutorial.doc

It's from a Long, Long thread on the S.C. page... An extremely useful link and thread.

Ok, the link doesn't work when you click it here. Sorry, but check p. 12 of the S.C. thread.

I taped in to the panel lite on the bow. No problems!

Auto parts stores have wire tap in parts, for like tail lites and such that work.
get the right size for your wire and you're set. Be sure to use the fuse that is included.
And unhook the battery, or you will go through a few fuses before the job is done.

Don't know why, but the link I posted doesn't work for me either when I click on it in this threat. Go to the South Carolina board ... they have a 13 page thread on interpreting sonar images... the link is on page 12... and it still works... dunno why. Someone tell me why.

it appears to be a "Word" document, rather than an actual link to a website article. That may be why it can't be reached by some, as it seems to need to be saved to/opened in MS Word ... and some may not have that program. Or ... it may have been pulled from the originating site, and is therefore no longer available for online viewing.

Also ... it depends on how you have your User CP set to view threads, as to whether or not it's on page 12 or page 2
If you have the User Control set to view the newest reply to a thread ... it'll be on page 2. If set to view threads in order of reply, then it'll be on page 12 ... http://www.crappie.com/crappie/south...retations.html

Even without the link, there's still some good info in that thread
