Old bamboo fishing rod

Whatever it is, I'm gonna clean it up real good and once I get my basement finished, it's gonna hang on my game room wall right above the 3 pound crappie that I haven't caught yet. Better hurry on that fish I guess.....I think it will look great hanging with a couple nice mounts and some old antique lures and other fishing related things. Being from her side of the family, it gives me a little leverage with my wife to get the room decor I want. May be the only way I can get my way.

Check with the folks on the Antiques Road Show. They know everything about old stuff. It looks homemade and that would make it even more valuable to me.

We used to have canepoles like that when we were kids. 2 or 3 sections, 1 or 2 eyes per section, but they didn't have a reel seat on them.

SpeckWick; This looks to be a 3 section cane/bamboo rod that someone modified with guides, reel seat & what looks to be an old Leather wrapped boatrod grip....I'v had customers in the ast bring in one of these rods to be made into a servicable fishing rod.
