YEPPIR! I fished Ohio Reservoirs for fifty years since I was ten. I have been blessed to fish Southern waters the past four years. There is NO COMPARISON!

CRAPPIES and BREAM are bigger, better, badder, and tastier here in the south.

We got great cat fishing up here where the two biggest rivers (Mississippi and Missouri) in the United States meet. At the confluence, the world record Blue Cat was caught in Alton Illinois across from Saint Louis weighing 124 pounds.

Largest Flathead Cat (123 pounds) was caught in Kansas. I don't acknowledge that though since I went to Mizzou.
That catfish could be from anywhere on the Mississppi as fish move. There are loads of big Blues in the Mississippi . The southern states hold most of the past and present Catfish records. The Flathead, and Channel records are from the South. The majority of Blue records were from the south. There was a record Blue a few years ago from the Arkansas portion of the Mississppi River. The biggest Flatheads are from the south . There was one from the Arkansas that was 139lbs 14 oz.:D

Yeah the climate and growing season really helps. I would love to go down to Costa Rica and fish for those peacock bass. Man what monsters. Top water action at its best.
