Just cashed in a few Cabelas points and combined that with a Cabelas Club sale to pick up an auto inflatable for about $50. I was having a hard time paying three figures for one of them (stupid, I know, considering it's only my LIFE!) but the points and offer made the investment easier to swallow.

I wore it all weekend at LOZ and it was nice. My fishing buddies gave me a little crap about it at first but, by the end of the weekend, we're talking about how they should get one, too.

All it takes is a wave when your not expecting it. Theres so many things that and can put you in the water. Years ago I did not wear one. Even in flood waters and did not think about it. But the older I get the smarter I get. So now it goes on when I get into the boat. And I take it off when the boat is loaded and on dry ground.
Here on Pickwick the big boats may leave the nice waves and you never see them. but they sure will rock the boat and you will not know there coming until your trying to grab something to hold on to..

Tom If it were me, I think I would fix me some grab bars on the boat. That will allow you to also use them to mount rod holders on also.
