I'm no expert, but I believe War Eagle is one of the better brands out there. However, there are several more on that list. How long will it last if taken care of? Indefinitely, but certainly 20+ years. Heck, I see thin skinned riveted boats that are 30 years old every day out on Grenada and many of them don't look like they were "taken care of". Basically, any 100 gauge welded aluminum boat is going to give you decades of good service. War Eagle, G3, Grizzly by Tracker, SeaArk, and a bunch of others out there would fit the bill, I just can't recall their names and my list is in no particular order.

I have a SeaArk 2072 with a Suzuki 115hp 4 stroke tiller.I hunt and fish with this boat w/ 84 lb Minnkota trolller.I also have a 20ft. Champion, the Champion is alot easyer to fish out of you can manuver through trees easy I think this is due to the Ark has a square nose and the Champ is pointed compared to the Ark.The Ark is loud when you fish out of it a glass boat absorbs the noise of the boat goining timber.Just because of fuel cost I might sell the Champ.I have had the Ark for 5 yrs and this boat gets abused and still looks real good. .125 hull Life time puncture warranty

    Default Not a problem

I thought the same thing when I bought my Carolina Skiff. I say if people can crappie fish off of a pontoon the size of a barge, then anything less in size is perfect. Take the War Eagle deal and enjoy. The worst thing is having a boat that is too small to fish out of and be comfortable in.
It is not enough that a man should toil and provide, but that he be granted the pleasure of fishing with a friend.

I would think that your truck would do fine in pulling it. As for loading and unloading by yourself, it may take you a little while to get the feel of that boat and the trick to doing it. Just take your time and you should be ok. Good luck.

Yes and Yes. You'll be fine with that truck, but don't haul in overdrive. GM tranny's are bad about overheating with a load hauling in OD. I'm sure you'll be able to handle that boat by yourself as well. Cross winds might be tricky, but after a while you'll have that down pat as well.

Pulled my 20ft with a 140 Suzuki with a for with the small V-8 It did fine.
Also my 20ft war-eagle was easy to load by my self. And when you pull up on the bank. the front sticks over plenty to allow me to sit down and turn around to get in and out of the boat.
Good luck and go for it. Great boat.
