So right you are. Good luck & good fishing.
I know its getting out of site. But I have so many days that my health will not allow me to fish.
So any day I can fish I plan on wearing out the new boat. If its costing way to much. I will think of the days last year that I could not walk. Or the days I could only lay in bed or sit and be on the PC.
So think about how the same trip would be to someone that can't get out and fish. Then it will shed new light on it for you.
I know there has been days I would have loved to fish. but just not able.
So any day I am able I will be on the water.

I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.....

i think i should start working on alternative fuel boat motors....might make me rich....electric boat motor or solar powered
Nice perspective on things, Shilo.
John, while you are working on that alternative fuel project, you should consider looking into how to harness the power of BS. There is always an unlimited supply of that anywhere a bunch of fishermen gather.

well shoot mrdux i could put twin 300's, a kicker, and a few trolling motors on my boat then if i could get that to work lol
Just do what I did. Go out and buy 3 trolling motor batteries. I could troll an entire lake if I wanted to. I'm sure its fun for some of the 225's to travel 45 miles across the lake but if I wanted to fish that far away I'd just put in at the boat ramp there. I get a kick outta seeing boats fly by me at 70 mph.
My friend says he spends a couple of hundred in gas for a weekend fishing tournament. That just seems borderline stupidity if you ask me, but then again whatever floats your boat I guess.

Fortunaly we have several ramps close to the house (within 15-20 min) and each section of the lake where the ramps are located hold fish, so my 6 gal tank that feeds the 40 hp mariner wont be effected to badly. Thank god i got rid of the hammer truck, it was very fast and pretty but only 10 mpg, the new truck gets 17 pulling the boat and is still pretty powerful w/ a vortec v6 and a 5 speed.

Think i will installl some sails on my boat catch that wind and go with the flow.
HERE FISHY FISHY
Going to do like the old days, where they had a barge with a tow rope strung across the lake.
Looking for someone to pull my barge while I troll across the lake.
Also going to charge a small fee one way tickets only!
