I bought a pair of guide wear bibs off ebay $45.00 with shipping. They were seconds and had been repaired on leg about a 2" rip. 2 months later i found jacket for $50 on ebay. I also have frogg toggs for summer I like.

Thanks cp, I like the breathable types(I borrowed a set once). They are much more comfortable in warmer weather, and my "can't stand" is wet clothes sticking to my skin. I'll have to give the frog togs a shot.

I have a set of the Pro Qualifier. If you are not price sensitive it is the way to go . Depend what kind of price you put on comfort. The 100mph stuf must be teriffic.

I just spent 5 days stress-testing my new frog toggs. It rained on us 4 out of 5 days on the water...from a drizzle to an absolute down-pour. I was impressed with the frog toggs. I never got wet and easily forgot i was even wearing them. They are extremely light-weight, but do a good job of blocking wind also. I noticed the other guys' suits were sticking to them after a prolonged soaking. The only complaint i had were that they apparently size the pants very large. They are way too big, but still not a real problem b/c of good elastic at the ankle.

Big is good .. allows you to flex/move without binding, & allows extra thick clothing to be worn underneath. I'm 6'1" & 180lbs (large size catagory) ... but, bought XL size. I can wear my Walls Chiller Killer Snowmobile Suit, with the FT's over them, and be warm/dry & comfy (and fairly mobile).
Found out just how "windproof" they were -- running the lake on a chilly Spring morning, wearing my Chiller Killer, and the cold wind was getting thru. Put my Frogg Togg jacket on, and put the hammer down again .... toasty warm :p

I have to agree with papermouthlegend....the footjoy rain suits are great...I've used them for several years. I've been in the rain for hours in them and never have had a problem at all...I also have a columbia gortex suit and it works great too...I don't know about frog togs for fishing but I've seen several pairs tear up duck hunting.

I cannot even wear Rocky Boots any more after they started making them over seas. Tight and I have a high instep any way and can even get them on now. I went to Red Wing Boots. Made in the USA.

Gortex 10X for me. I've kept mine clean by simply following the washing instructions (one of the keys to allowing Gortex do it's job) and spraying it with a "3M waterproofing" spray annually.
