I have a 10' WM and 12' WM I like, but I also have 2 10' B&M rods I like that are the Ultimate Super Stiff (not that stiff as I can tell, but more back bone that the 10' WM). I like them a lot for lifting fish in the boat.

I am pretty sure I have had them for over 6 years and they still are very good, but I think cost then about $49.

A friend of mine (Oldwun) and I went to Bass Pro Shop last week and he bought a Wally Marshall Tightline Special rod (medium heavy). It has plenty of backbone and a very responsive tip, very light too! Excellent for rod holder fishing. I've got a post in the Tenn forum asking a similar question as yours, but I want to know why spend the money for graphite when a fiberglass rod should perform the same since it's just stuck in a rod holder. Tight Lines!

Ive read dozens of threads pertaining to rods and still not sure which direction to go. I dont want to have to buy a rod, only to break it and start over again, although I know they can all be broken. What model of the Wally marshalls if you recommend? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Is Charlotte having a sell on B& Ms, I need 6 new 12 footers????
