I primarily use the same as FisherMike and have been pleased. I have used the ones mentioned by turkeyfootnc and they held well but I have had some issues with them hanging up on the spool when casting from time to time when using lite line.

The key I've found with using these is. After tightening down, wet the stop and then re tighten. I'm not kidding, they work great for me.
I've been using this for years now

I use the same ones that FisherMike posted. I will tie a knot in the tag ends close to the knot and trim off the excess it keeps them from fraying and give you something to tighten them with. They work great and slide in and out of the rod eyes when casting.

These are the best. I have tried all of the above products and while they do work, you will not find anything that goes through the rod guides better. They are much smaller in diameter than the bass pro brand. The only issue with the string type is the tag ends will hang on the guides from time to time.

When using minnows in the spring, I am usually pitching a float and minnow in less than 8' of water. I tie a rubber band to the line (overhand knot), it slides easy and doubles to keep my 2 pc rod together when back in the rod box

I use a piece of rubber band too. They're alot more cost effective than commercial bobber stops. I'd rather spend more on a high quality bobber.

I've never tried that type of stop, and know of no one that uses them.
Maybe when I use up my new ones I just bought, I'll give them a try.

How do those work? I've never used anything but the thread ones, which work ok.

i have used some that stay affixed and you cannot change the depth. so what i started using that is easily changeable from whatever depth you want without ruining your line is bass jig skirt replacements. walmart carrys them for 1.68 for two i believe. and all you need is one strand. i like two just to be on the safe side. tie in a double knot on your line and you are good to go. that is what i find the best way. hope that helps
