Moose, I was only kidding about the water temps. Geez, get your panties out of a wad. I saw temps anywhere from 57 to 61 degrees. The weather was either sunny or windy with rain the whole time I was there, so lots of weather variation. Uh no, I don't think I made Richard mad at me, didn't know that was even mentioned. But thanks for putting that in a post though for everyone to read. Tell you what will piss Richard off though, taking a brand new rod and "fixing" it with JB Weld. I got in touch with him. He is running a tourney in LaGrange Georgia this weekend and didn't have good cell service. Take care and thanks on the congrats on the trip. Life is short Moose, gonna have to live today because tomorrow or one of these days may never come. Take care . Big J

OK thats what I was looking for. We have temps in the 4ft to 6ft deep water of 66 deg F now. But this is a small 90 acre lake that warms up pretty fast evidently. Those lakes that you, Jerry and Daryl fish have a lot more water in them so they must warm up a bit slower even though you are further south.

Richard has some very nice rods. I would buy them again.

I would like to see the last guide on the tip get a bit bigger diameter or find some new bobber stops that can pass though them. My Thrill bobber stops seem to get caught up in the tip guide when I try to cast or let out line. That changes the bobber stop depth setting at times and I wish I could fix that somehow. I really like using the thrill thread type bobber stops as I can use the old plastic tubes that they come with to tie new nail knots on them to use another day.
