I would like to know why you would do this anyway.

Some are sure the red fins draw more bites. The best crappie minnow I ever used was called the Red Horse, which the gov. took from us by putting them on the endangered species list. They had red fins! (Nobody raises them anymore, for it is against the Law to fish with them.) Good Luck
