Hey I was wrong i went by BPS and the new Wally Marshall Signature Series in 10, 11, 12 & 14 foot have 2 more inches on the butt of the rod. So it will fit much better in the rod holder. Matt the BPS here is CRAPPY LOADED. Wait till you get here and you won't regret it.

That is good to here. The only problem is that I need them to fish March 16th here in TN. What do you suggest. I like the Ugly Sitck because of durability, but I need a 14 ft rod.
    Thank You,
    Mathieu

I had an older WM rod and really liked it so I ordered a couple of these. I had them in three days and they are great -- good backbone. They do have the longer handles and they are on sale right now. Well worth the price.

The best price I could find anywhere when I bought my 9 was at www.monkscrappie.com... Call monk, he will hook you up, and get them shipped the same day.

I really like the Ugly Stiks for crappie/panfishing. I bought one for salt water and was really disappointed. Got the right size, weight, ect, but they're just too whippy to be throwing 2-3 oz. of lead in the surf. Luckily I needed a lure rod, so that's what I use for casting 3/8th - 1.5 oz lures.

When ordering online, make sure you shop around for the prices, but also the shipping. Ordering that many rods you might benefit by taking a trip somewhere that you has the rods you want. But a lot of times you'll find better prices online. I'm looking at getting a 10' Tica surf rod and at BPS and online at BPS it's $115 but online I found it for $85.
Hope this helped, good luck finding them.

    Default rods

i enjoy fishing with the BPS brand wlaly marshall crappie rod. the IM-6 graphite two piece 11'. I do not know if you troll or bobber fish or whatever but i like to find a hole i am used to and cast from a pretty good distance to where i do not run all over the fish. but you can reach in there if you are close too and drop it in. with an ultra light reel and 4lb test i am sure you will not be disappointed. also being a bass pro rod you can bring the rod in if it breaks and they will replace it at no charge. they did that with my two IM-6 graphite bass rods. so if you are interested give it a shot. or try Academy Outdoors in cool springs. and i believe they open a dicks recently in Madison. maybe Mt. Juliet not sure.

    good luck

One thing to remember when talking about BPS and the Wally Marshall rods, there are 4 types. Each type has a different weight rating. From 1/64 to a full 1 oz. and up to 18' long.(God help you getting that thing around). I have several of each for different uses. One thing I can recomend is that you get some of those rod wraps that velcro wrap a bundle of rods together for transport. Save you lots of tangles.

    Good luck!!
    I don't fish because I want to, I fish because I HAVE to !

    Moma tried real hard.
