Are the bases easily removed? I have been thinking of trying them but one of them would have to go where my trolling motor sits in its stored position.

All I can say is I like the Bee Ready rod holders best! See Link if interested.

The bases are screwed on, so I don't think that would be considered easily removable. We do make flush mount bases that should be low enough not to interfere with your trolling motor.
Driftmaster
But do the uprights come out of the base easily? Its hard to tell from the pics.Originally Posted by Driftmaster

They do on teh Bee Ready if that is what your asking about!Originally Posted by IBNFSHN
I looked at those Bee things in the pictures and for the life of me I could not see how you could get a pole in one of them dohickeys.
I think I will stick with the Driftmaster or the TiteLoc rod holders if I ever get into spiderrigging.
Now if you can show some better pictures of those bee things that I would reconsider and take another look at them.
I just call it the way I see it.

Yes, the rodholder itself, threads into the base, easy install or removal. I take mine off every return trip to put the boat cover on.Originally Posted by IBNFSHN
Thanks Shellback. thats what I was looking for. What does your bases attach to. Fiberglass? Did you have to add any support underneath or will the 3 screws hold everything OK. They just look "flimsy" to me but then I've never had a close up look of them installed.Originally Posted by Shellback

Bee Ready , here's a pic of mine and in the stored position it would not interfere with your motor ......
There are like 50 some mounting options , and yes some of them are flush mount and removeable . My brother is just looking over the catalog to order a set for his canoe !!
