    Hey,

You could have driven down to visit me. Shorter drive for the same weather.

    I feel your pain.

That's tough when your fishing vacation turns out like that. I plan on making the Slabfest on Lake Blackshear, GA next weekend. It's a 15 hour drive and I'm making a week and a half's vacation with the wife out of the trip. I'm keeping a close eye on the upcoming weather down there, hoping it won't be a bust for me. I'm hoping to tent camp, but if the overnite lows are to cold, I'm prepared to spend some money on a nice warm motel. LOL!

Default Why does tent camping usually result in:

    A) Thunder storms, high winds & heavy rain for sure

    B) Possible cloud rotation

    C) at the least... soggy bread

    Default weather or not

How about a small chance of drizzle....only to have freezing rain and a inch of snow on top of that. It was no problem until I tried to load the boat...I had to pour lantern fuel on the ramp and set it on fire to melt the snow/ice, so the truck wouldn't slide into the lake.
