    Default inside or outside?

Do you store your boat inside or outside? If you store it inside and keep it drained, I would definitely say that 3/4 inch good regular plywood is all that you need. Fewer voids and different glue is the only real difference, and that won't help much if you leave it out in the open and let it set with water in it.

you can go with star board, the same stuff they make cutting boads with. Never rot and last forever.

It is stored outside, but covered with a boat cover.

I used pressure treated 3/4 ply and painted it with appliance epoxy spray paint 2 coats then put it in. Be sure to paint the edges really well as this is where the water gets in easiest. I ran caulk along the edges where wood meets boat and then outdoor carpet. That was 5 yrs ago and Dad doesnt cover the boat unless it is winter. ( 2 months around here ) and it still looks/holds great.
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

If anyone is interested I found a website (link below) that sells the starboard. Looks to be some good stuff. I priced a 4' x 4' piece which came to about $128. Not sure how that compares to marine plywood. If I can figure out how to make this work with the hatch for a storage compartment in my deck I may just place the order. Using this stuff would not require me to put carpet or vinyl over it because it is already colored and has a textured surface.

Boy I really do appreciate all the advice here. I have learned a lot about different products, both good and bad. I have also been making some phone calls in my area seeking opinions. Now I have to digest all this information and decide on which product I want to use for this project.
    Thanks for everyone's help.
