The Trilene Knot -- http://www.fish4fun.com/TrileneKnot.htm -- It's held well for me not cutting itself using 6# and landing the occasional 10-12# striper or catfish.
One of the best things about a Palomar and I too have use it for many years. I use to night fish for bass a lot and that knot once use to it can be tied with out any light. All of our worm and spinner bait fishing was done using that knot.

Palomar most of the time- loop every once in a while.
Biguns only:D
I tie my line to a Fas-Snap with an improved clinch not, then clip the panfish jig to the snap. I like the smallest 1 they make, they even work good on bluegill flies. Quick and easy when it comes to changing jigs. And they hang the way they are supposed to, dont have to worry about pulling the knot back.
improved cinch for me or uni
eye crosser works good
I like the Palomar knot for it's strength but don't like having to constantly be aware of my knot position. Therefore I use a Loop Knot almost all the time when jigging.
I am switching to the small Fas-Snaps this year though and I will be attaching them with the Palomar Knot.
CATCH A BIG-UN
Palomar or WM loop knot they both work for me.
can't catch'em at home
I used the trilene knot for years, but switched to the palomar a couple years ago - it's quicker and easier to tie - and I've had cinch and trilene knots work themselves un-done... you have to keep checking them.
I bought some of those Fas-Snaps late in the fall. Haven't tried them yet, but they seem like they'd make changing jigs even quicker. I'll post about how they work come spring after I put some hours on them.
palomar for me all the way
