    Default Rod Tote

I slapped this together yesterday to see how it would work. I have to carry rods from parking area to my pontoon that is docked on Allatoona. This is a prototype with some scrap plastic material I had in the garage. I will now make one out of 3/8" or 1/2 plywood or a 1 X 10. The only change I will make is I will lenghten it at the bottom so I can set it on the ground without the bottom reel touching the ground. I hope the pictures come out and this might give someone an idea.

    Thumbs up What I do....

My sister-in-law makes hand bags and such, and I asked her to make me some rod holder sacks......
She made them about 4" wide X 6' - 2" long to hold my 12 ' B&M BBUL 12' rods when broken down.
Velcrow closes them, and the slack in the sack I use as a handle.

Keeps the dirt and grime off my rods, and makes for easy storage.

I'll take and post pictures asap.......

I know. They are giant slabs down here too. One person grabs the head and the other person grabs the tail....like the tale we both told. Glad to help. Keep your can of B.S. spray handy. That was a whopper.

Slabhunter, looking forwrd to seeing those pictures. Sounds like a neat idea.

Schief 79, I may have to build something like that to organize my shed better. My PVC idea is for carrying the poles in the truck or through the woods without screwing up the tips. They are 4 feet long which easily handles up to a 7.5 foot "Ugly Stick" when it is broken down. I leave the bobber and hook on, shove it in the tube, and move to the next place.

My hands are free to carry my tackle box and the 2.8 lb Crappies I just caught.

    Take care.

Schief, nice work for a prototype. I would just add legs instead of rebuilding. I drive for my $ and noticed Allatoona creek has come up some, maybe you'll get back to normal by summer. I hope so for y'alls sake, too hard to drive around all those stumps that were exposed a few weeks back. Show us the finished product when you get the carrier done.
