Hooker's rule is the "Golden Rule" Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. It should apply in fishing and life in general. It is the way my father taught me and I have taught my sons and grandsons. Hooker

Great idea! I thought I was the only one who did it that way. Well, in Ohio anyway. Go south to Kentucky Lake, Weiss, wherever, it would be hard to keep anything some days if you followed that same rule, but the point is well taken. Everyone knows what a trophy slab is on whatever water they are fishing. Put those fish with the strong gene pool back in to give a chance for more slabs to be born.Originally Posted by Opie1

Many limits are kept out of Talquin of 12 inch plus fish and it has never let us down and same goes for Logan Martin, Weiss and many other lakes I have fished. Lake Monroes size limit was 12inches until 2 years ago and it produces some slabs. Throwing them back might help some places, but not in the south.
