Nice holders and good workmanship! I also wouldn`t own the tite-loks! Driftmaster rodholders are nice, but I`m not big on their T-bars.

Boy if Creekslick's look cheap oneon should see mine made with pipe too. Had the Driftmaster round bases and they would not tighten down so I cut some garden hose and put on the cross beam. Didn't know about the split-ring pipe hangers, bet they are cheaper than the Driftmasters and I won't have to drive 100 miles to get them.

    Default Rod Holder

I don't know what's going on with ole Oneon, he don't usually act like that. Maybe him and Jim Beam or Jack Daniels got into it?, I know they jumped me
one night, and I ain't done nut'em to either one of them low down rascals.
They worked me over pretty good, it took about two days and a box of bc powers to get over that whoopin, I don't mess with them boys much after that.
One of them puked on me and the other low down rascal must have dodo'ed in My underwear. That was hard to explain to me wife and it took two scurbbing to get his dodo out of my underwear.

Building rod holders is like tying your own jigs, nothing like the satisfaction of catching your first or fortyth fish with them. I would say 3/4 of the rod holders I have seen have been hand made by the boat owner. Thanks for the pipe hanger info, I can use them on my old "cheap looking" rig as well.

I made my rod holders also. They look like driftmasters, but I changed them a little. I made jigs to bend the rod holders in. I can bend them as fast as I can cut the 3/8 rod and only a few seconds to weld them up. I used the 3/4 pipe hangers for the bases. I have made 28 or 30 so far, I used the plastic dip on them where the rod sets. They work very well.
I also made a trolling bar for the back of the boat out of 3/4 square tubing, It holds 10 rod holders. I troll alot in the spring. I enjoy making things for the boat, and everything else. If I can make it ,I will not buy it. I also made the mount for the spare tie. So on and so on.
