It seems stronger, but I didn't like it for casting.
I too like it but also don't do any casting, just tightlining or slow trolling. They have 2 kinds, don't know which is the best.

hi, I have to agree that it has too much memory but I will also say that like chadku says it is a very strong mono!!
Hey Hey. A plus side. Grandpa all ways said, "there's a little good in everything and everybody........sometime's you just got to dig a bit on the people part."

A gun in hand is a lot better than a cop on the phone.
I use it on my a couple of my trolling rigs with good success. The regular Cajun Red line has too much memory for easy casting. They do have a new formulation available that is supposed to be better for casting with a low memory- I haven't tried it yet.
Its really tough for the size.If it threw any better for me I would have to move down to a wider part of the Lake.
But I am Catfishing with it.
I use it on all my rods from the tigers from wally world to the bait casters.
Pulled that turtle (avatar) ^ in. Hooked in the foot,We thought we had a hundred pound fish.
Buy some Bass Pro Shop brand EXCEL, and your search will be over.
I use 4# cajun red and like it overall. Does seem to have some memory and you have to be careful tying knots. Use it mostly for tightining and trolling, dosen't seem to cast well. Pretty strong and a small diameter.
