I got a smoker but never got around to using it. I plan on using it soon to make some beef jerky.:D As of now I get my smoked salmon from my grandpa who does it all the time.

Yeah, Grandpa's are great for stuff like that. My grandpa had a full size smokehouse, along with a portable stainless steel smoker - both worked great.

Now that I'm a grandpa - I need to get myself a smoker before my grandson gets to fishing age. Gotta make sure to pass on my taste for smoked <type of meat here>.
