Congratulations pal, now don't be gettin into trouble with all that free time :D
I've been kidding some of my recently retired friends here at home about that,
told them with all that idle time they might get up to mischief -
a geezer's gang or something. I can see it now, down at Hardy's for the
morning coffee, shaking folks down for their change - Hand over the change
and nobody has to get their shins whacked with a cane! :D

Congratulations Mister. Now you the get to swipe the dust off one of those million dollar CD's you have and enjoy spending it. I wished I was in your shoes.
I am jealous! congratulations Cane Pole, and your contributions to the betterment of the world will be felt for many generations to come. Each kid that learned from you will teach it to someone else for ever. Thank you and fill the minnow bucket!!
I know him personally so I can speak both as a friend and a student as well.
Canepole retiring and leaving our school is going to leave a very big hole. It won't be the same without him around here and I'll guarantee that fact. It was said by several folks the other day that a man would have to consider himself very well off if he could only know half of what Mr. Tom had forgotten over the years. Someone may come and "fill in" his spot here later, but you can't just replace a highly expirienced and seasoned "old school" teacher like Mr. Tom at the drop of a hat. It's just not possible.
I know I'll see you around here locally, but I just wanted you to know it was an honor to sit in your class and listen in whenever I got the chance. Hats off to you and enjoy your well deserved time off sir.
Steve
