I've had one for about 6 years. Just this year I had to retire it, because the gears on the inside were shot. It's a great, cheap reel. I would only count on using it for about 5 years, though.

Don't use the trigger. Open the bail manually. It will last longer.

Good reels. As ship said, use the trigger sparingly. They cast the smallest of jigs with ease when using 6lb test.

I've got one of them and I can tell you this, they sure make it a lot easier for a lefty to cast using them

i think you can find them still at wal-mart,,,,good little reel,,had 1 for about 6-7 years no problems(until a big drum made mush of the gears)all in all a good reel

I got a couple. Good drags for a cheaper reel. Metal drag screw vrs. plastic ones on the Avovet reels. I just hate it our Walmart quit selling 'em or I'd buy a few more.

I do like the trigger but with my experience I can tell you that they do not last long.
