    Default The Crappie Spawn

Seems to have come and gone , zero fish in short water here ,water temps. still fluctuating some , but most are in the 70 and up range , but as you all know , they will carry eggs for darn near the entire year .....
the great news is, there really isn't any highly noticeable difference in the filets .........just saying ....
    KABOOM is near

I found a few willing to bite yesterday that still had eggs; my problem wasn’t finding them—the problem was that were full of mayflies. The top surface of the water was covered with dead mayflies.

not looking inside fish very often is me , you may have noticed I had to open that one in the image up , When I filet I don't open the body cavity up .....so what they had for dinner is something I rarely get to see .....
sounds like small yellow jig is the ticket though , just saying
