I miss a lot of fish when I use mono. That is not to say mono is bad. I fish braid almost exclusively. A solid hookset with braid is lack luster at best with mono. On the flip side. When I get used to mono and adjust my hookset accordingly. Those first few fish on braid come close to having and out of body experience. Flying fish for sure.
