    Same thing happened to me too!! I learned that there are 2 kinds of inflators. Gonna get a hydrostatic one next time. Cost is more but no surprises!

    I do my 5 onyx type jackets every 3 years, I always dip them in water or one of my kids jump in the lake with one on when it’s time to recharge them to see if they would have auto inflated, so far no failures,oldest jackets are 2013s
    Also manually inflate them every spring with a air mattress filler and leave them for a few days to see if the leak down, no failures so far.
