we see very few in there these days , he quit stocking them years ago and there just ain't many left ....
they don't reproduce well in most spots in private waters , hear tell the babies are bright orange when they do reproduce and get et all up like wildfire as well ....
told him he needs a thousand or so dropped in for grins and he agreed , but he has SO many projects going all at the same time it befuddles me ,and he is over 80 years old as well .....truly a monster of a man , goes sun up to sundown , 7 day a week and sometimes well into the dark too , it is no wonder he has about a kazillion dollars in assets is my thoughts ....
heck he EVEN still finds time to ride around on his bulldozers making more ponds and small lakes , it is amazing to see him go I tell ya ....just WOW is that fella ....
driven from above for sure .....

The river is way up! Haven’t seen it this high in a coons age. I’d believe it on the spillway. We definitely need all the rain. Last years drought was no bueno.

Went out on the lake yesterday around the dam but couldn’t get any crappie to play. I found a few with electronics, but it was mid day and they wanted none of my offerings. Need to go out real early or right at sunset to see if they will cooperate. They are starting to show up.

bet money a fella could fill his freezer quick with them big striped fish below the lake in the spillway IF you get REALLY desperate for a dinner that SORT OF resembles a real edible type of fish .....
