I’ve used sea foam in everything I’ve owned and they’ve all been two strokes. Injectors in my Jimmy were spotless when a head gasket let go. I convinced the stuff works good for keeping the fuel system straight.

You can take the vaccum line off of a brake booster & have somebody throttle it up to keep from stalling & decarb a vehicle engine. It will smoke like a freight train & make you think you screwed up but that's the carbon burning.

I've got a Pro XS Optimax. I run Quikleen all the time, and if I think the boat won't see use, I'll use Quickare, or whatever stabilizer of choice. I've usually wrong non-ethanol, but recently went to just 87 regular if I'm running it a lot. Prop looks good as far as exhaust and soot goes.

My 2000 Optimax with 1800 hours has never seen anything but Seafoam and 10% fuel along with Amsoil 2 stroke oil.

I suggest using no ethanol fuel. I like Chevron's Techron , works for me. Not saying it's the best but am saying it works for me and has for a long time.

This is from European Marine.........Mercury Component Cocktail"- for EVERY tank of fuel, whether or not your fuel contains Ethanol: (Chemically, this works much the same as the previously recommended (and now to avoid alcohol content) cocktail, and requires less components.) This is Don's Preferred "Cocktail":

-1oz Mercury QuickCare per 5 gallons fuel
-1oz Mercury QuickLeen per 5 gallons fuel
(If leaving fuel in boat for more than 30 days, Use Mercury QuickStor rather than the above Quickare- this will help protect against fuel degradation).

For what its worth, Ive always been a fan of Seafoam, but a friend of mine bought a new Targa Tracker with a 150 Merc pro, the Tracker mechanic said DO NOT USE SEAFOAM, but with my experiances with Tracker mechanics I dont take much faith in what they say.
