Default Making 0 degree mount from perspective 8 on trolling motor shaft

Fished with a friend that has 0 degree on a pole. 0 is way better than 8 but the pole and wind don't mix well. That's just too much going on like flying a Chinook. Anybody that has a perspective mount has an extra backet (port or starboard). Too windy to fish with 37mph gust today so I did the math, changed the angles and if I'm right clearance between beam and barrel should increase by 1/4" at 0 degree. If you miss the angle you can use a garden hose washer under bracket to correct and still have the perspective mount if you want to go back to basics.

Update on this mod. If you use the prespective mount that you were already using only 1 bend is needed. If you use the extra mount bar that came with it (port or starboard) you'll need to make a 2nd bend so that TM will stow the same. Good news is you gain another 1" of clearance between beam & trolling motor housing/barrel allowing for bigger trolling motors. Mine is just a 24v 70lbs thrust so not an issue
