if you ever watched one spool the fella beside you , the name of the fish that just did it won't really matter bro ....
the sound of the line when the knot snaps on the spool as it tries to take your buds arm off is simply incredible .....
    I mean totally priceless ....

Never been spooled and this was the closest yet. Don't know how I'd react to getting spooled but it would be a thrill having the fish on for a minute or two. Most I've caught in a day was four and two of those hit topwater at the bank just as I was pulling lure out for another cast. After the second one I was shaking so bad I had to stop fishing for a few minutes and collect myself. Checked my fit bit and heart rate was 118. That's why I fish for them. Fishing is good for you.

it was legendary bro , I told the 3rd party in the boat ,to get the net when he set the hook and the reel started screaming .....
about 5 or 6 seconds later the fish had all his line and stretched him out and the line snapped like a 22 going off beside your head
we had no idea it was a hybrid , we were after crappie in a creek in my other buds boat , we figured it out about the time my reel blew up just like his and kept it up till I landed it , we then managed to ketch several more of them .....

Sorry to hear that it wound up that way. That would’ve been quite a feather in your cap. Good news is you’re not done yet. You’ll get another chance. Good idea hanging up the jig. Maybe hang a tag on it with the date to help ya remember. Those days are coming. Looking forward to the pics of the next one. Those in the pics you posted would’ve made ,me pretty happy.
