The point of the question was if you think this is legal to do. How much of that dock is really needed? I had this happen to me on an area of Kentucky lake that I had been fishing for over 25 years. New people bought the property and blocked off one of my favorite spring spots. Was one great shell cracker area but I found other spots over the years but not like that one. Whatcha think?

@Chaunc I don't think it's right. Period. However, as I've gotten older I try to pick my battles. Allowing the authorities to handle that if I chose to report it would be my way of fighting it if I had to. However, Crappie Brother I have too many other things to focus on vs being stressed on the water. I LOVE the Water, I LOVE my boats, I LOVE to Fish, I LOVE Catching them. I Don't Like allowing things to get me riled up when I'm in chill mode. That much dock isn't needed. Possibly that much house isn't needed. If it's not endangering my safety on the water then I'm too happy to have a boat & to be on the lake to let it damping my joy. Boat Dock Laws are different for different places. Before I got worked up I'd make sure I had that right. Here is info from Water Rights and Docks: Everything You Need To Know in certain instances a property owner "CAN" do such a thing. Remember you are there for free. They may have over a million in rights to be there. You asked me Crappie Brother. I'm just responding. Our feelings & the Laws of the land don't always agree.
