    Default Wrong Species

Hit Lake Tawakoni hoping to find some crappie. It was 44 degrees when I left the house at 5am. I was 73 degrees when I left the lake at 3pm. I did not catch one crappie but did notice a group of boats fishing a well known point. I joined them and we caught monster white bass for 3 hours straight. I released them all but it was really fun battling those line pullers. I guess the crappie were pre-staging and I could not find them.

White bass are one of my favorites to catch and catching them for three hours is a great trip. I'd love a trip like that any time.

I’ll take some white bass. Good pulls, one after another. Now I ask you what’s wrong with that.

It’s always good to get your rod bent and your string stretched.
