Default Great day on the water with friends...

Great day on the water with friends...albeit salt water.

We went to Ponce Inlet and fished the Atlantic on a Party Boat. Was a great time, lots of action, but kinda the wrong action, or should I say, wrong fish species.

Cool video where you can see the action. Me and my daughter, with William and his daughter.

WE go to tarpon springs on the gulf for our party barge trips and always get a ton of gray snapper plus bonus fish. they are fun time especially for the ones who don't fish much.

Saltwater fishing is a nice change of pace. I do it when I get the itch but growing up Saltwater fishing and the extra effort it takes along with expenses today not so much into it anymore. I launch across the street now, burn 1 gallon of gas, catch quite a few Crappie, and return home for some homemade wine. Much easier fishing trip for me. I guess this says I'm getting lazy too but that's ok with me. I'm Glad y'all had a fun trip!

I agree. Good change of pace, new areas, new fish, new stuff. But I don't even have to go across the street. And often I don't even have to fire up the big motor! lol

Thanks BT for the intel. Time for a brew with friends. I have a story too, believe it or not, we're trying Gar. hmmmm, I'll show y'all soon.

It's the opposite for me - dad lives near the ICW (salt) and I'm usually over there w him - we have to drive an hour from his place to go play with crappie. Same amount of effort you describe and maybe 2 gallons of gas is sea trout and maybe reds, snook, drum. Different world.
